'Boo' attack leads list of abuse against council staffGRANT MATTHEW/STUFF Palmerston North parking wardens cop their share of abuse for doing their jobs. Two people verbally abused parking wardens for giving them parking tickets, with one putting the ticket back behind the officer's back. In other cases of abuse directed at library staff, one involved threatening gestures, and one used threatening words. Two other incidents came by phone, one from a member of the public abusing the staff member, and another was threatening a staff member. The other place where council staff were targeted was the front office.
