Bomet Deputy Governor Stephen Mutai has claimed he is being frustrated and denied funds to run his duties. He wrote to Governor Isaac Rutto, calling for direct funding to his office. Mutai claimed his office was no longer receiving any funding and even despite requesting for money to attend to crucial meetings, the requests are rejected. In response, Rutto accused Mutai of absenteeism and early campaigns. He said if the governor’s claims were genuine he should check the CCTV cameras installed in his office.
