Bomb squad headed to Huntly after suspicious object spotted on roundabout

A police bomb squad is on its way to Huntly to investigate a suspicious object that was found on a roundabout. Waikato Police have closed down the main road into Huntly after a member of the public called to report the object, which is sitting on the centre island. Cordons are in place at Tainui Bridge Rd, Tumate Mahuta Drive and George Drive. They are expected to be in place for at least three hours while police wait for a bomb squad to arrive from Auckland.
