A bomb detection and disposal squad carried out searches at several locations at politically sensitive Nadapuram on Saturday to track the source of the 13 highly explosive pipe bombs, found hidden along a rural road at Chelakkad on Friday. The police said they were yet to ascertain the involvement of the owner of the land, where the bombs were found, in the incident. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Nadapuram) Prince Abraham said the investigation was proceeding in the right direction with the support of various squads as it was one of the major bomb recoveries in the recent times. Dog squadsThe station house officers under various police stations under the Vadakara and Nadapuram police subdivisions were also asked to carry out inspections with the support of dog squads in their limits. The police said activists of political parties who had been booked earlier in similar cases would be quizzed.
