(Photo by Waedao Harai)NARATHIWAT- A roadside bomb exploded in Muang district on Tuesday morning during army chief Teerachai Nakwanich's visit to this deep South province. Bomb disposal officers said the bomb, inside a 20-kg cooking gas cylinder, was triggered remotely. The improvised bomb went off at a traffic sign in tambon Manang Kayor around 7.25am, said Pol Lt Col Pongsak Daengdee, investigation chief at Muang police station. A police investigation found that two men on a motorcycle had planted the bomb near the traffic sign and left the area shortly before a military patrol providing protection for teachers arrived on foot.
