Australian police believe the remains of missing Ipswich man David Thornton have been discovered in one of two fridges buried in his Goodna backyard. A man has been arrested in Australia on the suspicion of murder after human remains were found in a buried fridge, police said. Two fridges were found during Monday's excavation of a Goodna backyard in Ipswich, south of Brisbane, owned by missing 58-year-old man David Thornton. Queensland detectives said the 24-year-old man, who allegedly knew the victim, was arrested in Byron Bay, New South Wales, about 11am on Tuesday (local time). The search for the Goodna man turned sinister when a crime scene set up at his Parker Street home and the homicide squad was called in on Friday.
