Police rescued the body of a youth from a canal near Balukhali Rohingya Refugee Camp in Ukhiya of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. “On information, a police team rescued the body from a canal near the refugee camp,” Md Kay Bislu, said acting officer-in-charge (investigation) of Ukhiya police station. The youth, believed to be a Rohingya man from Rakhine state of Myanmar, might have died on his way to the camp, the police official said. The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for an autopsy, he added.
