Bodies of two youths, who had reportedly drowned at Juhu beach on Friday afternoon, were found in the early hours of Saturday. To escape the lifeguards' notice, these youths went to a secluded spot away from the main beachfront and entered the water. As the group starting getting swept away by strong currents, Mandal, Kamat and Ghanta were promptly rescued by the lifeguards and fire brigade crew. Despite the on-duty lifeguards warning them against entering the high-tide waves, the group ventured into the sea. "Their bodies were found in the early hours of Saturday and sent to the Cooper Hospital for post-mortem," said an officer from the Santa Cruz police station.
