NEW YORK—With second baseman Devon Travis back in the majors, the Blue Jays optioned ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte to Triple-A Buffalo. Aaron Loup, ramping up his rehab at Triple-A Buffalo, could be back with the Jays soon. When shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is ready to return to action from a slight quadriceps strain, the Jays will make room for another relief pitcher, likely left-hander Aaron Loup. “Everybody says he feels good and they say he looks good,” manager John Gibbons said of Loup. “Oh yeah, that’s what happened,” Tulowitzki said, recalling a 2008 incident that left him with a torn tendon in his quad.
