An elbow injury has ruled Cork’s Ashling Thompson out of action for the foreseeable future, with the Milford star set to miss the remainder of the Centra National Camogie League and the upcoming Munster senior championship. Manager Ger Manley is hopeful the six-time All-Ireland winner and multiple All-Star recipient, who lined out in all four league ties this year, will make it back to play a part in the All-Ireland senior championship. The injury was sustained after an accidental clash with a player late in the Kilkenny game last weekend. “She is a huge loss, she has been brilliant for us, phenomenal since I’ve been involved. “But we are looking at the All-Ireland championship if we are still in it, maybe in July.
