Blades stay red-hot in Lethbridge

The Saskatoon Blades continue their Western Hockey League roll, and they’re one win away from clinching their first playoff berth since 2012-13. The Blades won their seventh consecutive game Saturday night, beating the host Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-2, and they now hold the WHL’s second best record. That win over Lethbridge capped off a three-game road swing that also included stops in Medicine Hat and Kootenay. Saskatoon has outscored opponents 42-16 during their win streak, and their record now sits at 37-13-8-0, good for 82 points. The Prince Albert Raiders are the only team with more points in the standings; they’re at 46-8-1-2, with 95 points.
