KATTANKUDY, Sri Lanka (Reuters) - Mohamed Hashim Mohamed Zahran was 12 years old when he began his studies at the Jamiathul Falah Arabic College. The school would hear again of Mohamed Zahran. In 2004, there was a grenade attack on a Sufi mosque and in 2006 several homes of Sufis were set afire. That December, the mosque Zahran founded released a public notice disowning him. But now in Kattankudy, and in many other places, people are talking about Mohamed Hashim Mohamed Zahran.
