Ghana thumped Senegal 2-0 in their opening game last Wednesday before winning 6-0 against Togo in their second fixture two days later. On the other hand, Cote d’Ivoire claimed a 5-0 victory over Togo in their opening match and battered Senegal 4-0 in their second group game on Friday. Per the statistics above, both teams are high-scoring sides and will be driven by pride, with the Ghanaians coming out victorious and winners of Group A. Last year when the two sides met in the final of the maiden edition of the competition, the Black Queens defeated the hosts 1-0 through a Janet Egyir goal to lift the winner’s trophy.
