She said her claim that the CID knew the whereabouts of the girls was only intended to give hope to the families. “I made that comment because I wanted to give hope to the mothers but I have been misconstrued. The comment is in sharp contrast to her earlier position on the status of the girls. In April she told the media in Accra that “We know where the girls are” before urging the families of the three girls to “keep on keeping on”.
