Black Fins Danielle McKenzie and Cory Taylor win national surf lifesaving titles

Surf lifesavers Danielle McKenzie and Cory Taylor have emerged triumphant at the end of the national championships in Mount Maunganui. They're the ones who've always been there for me and it's awesome to win with them." Black Fins team-mate Taylor was left shaking his head at McKenzie's dominance. The Mount Maunganui club's overall dominance saw them win their seventh consecutive Allan Gardner Trophy, finishing 50 points clear of Mairangi Bay on 147 points. It was the 10th title in the club's history, breaking the record of nine previously won by the Bay of Plenty club and Christchurch's South Brighton.
