Conceptualising the dream of building an animal hospital, Shah made the design himself and commenced work to convert his 1,000 sqft office into such a set-up in August 2014. This January, Shah himself inaugurated HELP Animals & Birds hospital at Masjid Bunder — a non-profit organisation working solely for welfare of strays. This, Shah explained, is what made him decide to be the messiah of stray dogs. Having the capacity to accommodate 40 stray dogs in separate kennels, the hospital has an operation theatre, an area for dogs and cats and an outpatient department," said Shah.
