A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Gisborne and Hawke's Bay on Monday morning. "In the South Island it's going to fine for most of the east, a few showers in the west." Showery southwesterlies are forecast to ease on Monday, and most of the South Island can expect a fine, clear day.
