Rangiora surfer Tegen Bishop collected the double for a second straight year in the Cape Classic surf contest at Tauranga Bay on the West Coast at the weekend. Bishop won both the Open Women's and Junior Women's titles after two full-on days of surfing in both divisions, turning in a big finish when the waves turned on for the finals. It's been a busy summer so far, with Bishop taking out the Open Women's Longboard title at New Brighton's Malfunction surf contest for the third consecutive year a week earlier. Back in September, Bishop competed at the World Junior Surfing Championships at Hyuga, Japan – her first time competing outside of New Zealand.
