The body of the deceased, Md Palash Ahmed, alias Mahadi, 23, was received by his father Pyar Jahan Sardar from the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue around 12:30am on Tuesday. Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, CMCH police outpost ASI Alauddin Talukder said: "The boy has been handed over. On Sunday evening, Palash managed to hijack Biman flight BG-147 mid-air after it took off from Dhaka, and forced the pilot to land at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
