A billboard supporting a capital gains tax has disappeared from central Wellington and the group that paid for the advertising fears its campaign is being "suppressed". Tax Justice Aotearoa NZ erected the billboard promoting "tax fairness" on the Liberty Apartment Hotel building on the corner of Taranaki and Ghuznee streets as part of a public campaign it launched last week to drum up support for a capital gains tax. Cassels said he had no information on why the billboard would have been removed, adding that he was "a bigger supporter" of a capital gains tax. "I am totally for a capital gains tax.
