Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his message on the occasion of World Wetlands Day, called wetlands the lifeblood of the environment, food security and climate stability and called for urgent collective action to protect them. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that when wetlands are destroyed, the voice of nature is silenced and the heaviest price of their destruction is always borne by the poor and vulnerable segments of society. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the protection of wetlands and mangroves is not only an environmental necessity but also a demand of social justice. He appealed to governments, communities and youth to become guardians of wetlands and ensure the protection of natural resources so that sustainable development is possible for future generations. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that harmony between man and nature is the path to a safe, green and hopeful future.
