Destination Fiordland has launched the scheme, Host A Holiday, which offered locals discounted fares or free goods or services to places or attractions where they brought visitors. Madeleine Peacock said locals taking part in the Host A Holiday scheme needed to provide proof of residence within the Te Anau Basin, Manapouri or Milford Sound regions.
