The Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay opens its door for domestic flights on Friday. Tugade explained the airport went through three groundbreaking ceremonies, but the nonstop construction works only began under the Duterte administration's Build, Build, Build program. Construction of the airport also created 755 jobs with 1,100 more indirect jobs expected to become available once the airport begins commercial operations. "We tapped the service provider of the Clark International Airport (CRK) in Pampanga to maximize the same high-technology features as the CRK, which is equipped for contactless baggage handling and food ordering system," Lucas said.
