Former Malabon City representative Ricky Sandoval and his wife, former vice mayor Jeannie Sandoval, on Wednesday filed their certificates of candidacy (CoCs) for congressman and mayor, respectively. Former Malabon vice mayor Undersecretary Mark Allan "Jayjay" Yambao of the Department of Social Welfare and Development also filed his CoC under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. With him is his sister Councilor Leslie Yambao who filed her CoC for reelection. The 2022 polls will be a battle between Sandoval (Ricky) and incumbent Rep. Jaye Lacson-Noel who slugged it out in 2019.
