With F&N in its fold, the ThaiBev group has expanded its stable of brands and network of distribution channels. For 1HFY2016 ended June, ThaiBev reported an 18.8% y-o-y increase in revenue to THB100.6 billion (S$3.95 billion), while its earnings climbed 15.5% to THB14.4 billion. Delivering strong earningsThe one company within the Manufacturing sector that topped ThaiBev on pre-tax profit growth is Venture Corp. For 1HFY2016, Venture registered a 15.5% y-o-y growth in earnings to S$79.2 million, while its revenue increased 3.5% to S$1.3 billion. Revenue from its shipbuilding business tumbled 52% y-o-y to RMB1.8 billion, weighed down by weaker delivery of vessels.
