[Trump, DeVos, and GOP lawmakers are reaching out to historically black colleges]The announcement signals the Trump administration’s continued outreach to historically black colleges and universities, an effort that has been both welcomed and criticized. Many leaders of historically black schools were pleased with a meeting at the White House in February, while others were skeptical that it would result in increased financial support. Bethune-Cookman University doesn’t need a photo op from the Trump Administration, we need action done by this administration for all HBCUs.
