This is not the first time that the Sanders campaign made an effort to reach out to the Asian American communities, which were long ignored by most presidential candidates in the past. New York remains a state where the majority of America’s Bangladeshi community calls home. The Bangladeshi American community is also well-represented in neighbouring New Jersey, Maryland, DC, Florida, and, of course, California.
