PETALING JAYA: A Belt and Road research centre is set to open in Forest City in Gelang Patah, Johor, in partnership with Shenzhen University. The first of its kind in Forest City, the Belt and Road Research Institute is an initiative of the Shenzhen University Education Development Foundation and a flagship development of property development company Country Garden Group. The research centre is aimed at promoting knowledge sharing, exchange of talents through internship programmes, post-doctoral research, and cooperation between undergraduates from Shenzhen University and local colleges and universities. Hugo Wu, Country Garden Group and Forest City's general manager of international sales and marketing, said the institute will benefit local academicians and researchers who are carrying out research on the Belt and Road initiative. The Country Garden Group held the soft launch for the Belt and Road Research Institute here on Thursday.
