KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin (pic) appears unfazed over the impending launch of Pakatan Harapan's manifesto on Thursday (March 8) night, dismissing it as "sweet promises". As an example, Khairy cited the Opposition coalition's pledge to maintain the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) initiative should it manage to wrest Putrajaya in the coming polls. The Youth and Sports Minister was speaking to reporters during a press conference after the Umno Youth executive committee meeting at Putra World Trade Centre here on Thursday (March 8). "So, what we might hear tonight could be easily be interpreted as 'sweet promises' …. Pakatan is set to launch its manifesto dubbed "Buku Harapan" (Book of Hope) at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) in Shah Alam at 8pm on Thursday (March 8).
