Kisauni Member of Parliament Rashid Bedzimba has asked leaders at the Coast to unite. The MP said the leaders should focus on initiating development projects in the area instead of engaging in political wrangles. “Leaders should consider developing the Coastal area first before engaging in politics,” said the MP. Addressing Kisauni residents on Wednesday during the Madaraka day celebrations, the MP called upon his fellow leaders to ensure that they give priority to development projects. He added, "It is sad to see some leaders from the Coast failing to support motions brought before the parliament floor by their counterparts simply because they differ on political affiliations.”Their has been a growing rebellion among the Coastal leaders in the recent past with claims that some leaders have formed a parallel caucus for the Coast legislatures.
