Bearsden mum sets off on 'world's toughest row' 80 days alone across the Atlantic

A 42-year-old mum could spend more than 80 days alone on the Atlantic Ocean when she sets off on “the world’s toughest row”. It will be incredibly sad to leave my children and my husband, but very few kids can say their mum rowed the Atlantic Ocean. Director Jamie Lunn was in La Gomera last week helping her pack her boat. Before her, only 34 solo females have attempted to row across the Atlantic Ocean, and she will be the first South African female to do so. I have never lived alone and I’m not even sure I have ever spent more than 12 hours in my own company.
