A popular Auckland beachfront was turned into a sporting ground on Friday afternoon, as beach polo came galloping into town. Takapuna Beach Polo is the first event of its kind to be staged in Auckland, taking over the sand in front of the Takapuna Beach Reserve. Kashka Tunstall Spectators watch the first match in the inaugural Takapuna Beach Polo event on the popular Auckland beach's waterfront. "This is the first time we've staged quite a large challenge of beach polo in New Zealand."
