Akufo-Addo charged the country’s Judiciary to play its role effectively to help in maintaining law and order, adding that the judiciary must treat crimes such as vigilantism, corruption and fraud with utmost seriousness to rid the country of lawlessness. I urge all Ghanaians, to be natural champions of a law-based state whose establishments are solid enough to sanction effectively vigilantism, fraud, cyber fraud including assault on and by law enforcement officers,” the president said. He stressed that the state will ensure strict application of the law in tackling the breakdown of law and order in the country. I call for your support and the support of all right-thinking citizens in our society to contribute,” Akufo-Addo said in that meeting.
