Baylor QB Brewer leaves Sugar Bowl with neck injury

Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer was knocked out the Sugar Bowl on Wednesday night with a neck injury as he was being tackled during the fourth quarter of the Bears’ 26-14 loss to Georgia. 5 Georgia by 12 points, Brewer scrambled to his right for 9 yards and was dragged out of bounds by a Georgia defender. There was fear that was related to a concussion, as well, but Rhule said the injury was actually to an ankle. On Wednesday, Brewer was 24 of 41 for 211 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Bulldogs. Brewer finished the season with 3,161 passing yards with 21 touchdown passes and seven interceptions.
