Chelsea spent nearly £90m to sign the Ukrainian international from Shakhtar Donetsk in last season’s January transfer window, hijacking a bid from Arsenal to secure the pacey winger’s signature. Mudryk, however, has struggled badly at Stamford Bridge, notching up just three goals in 44 Premier League appearances so far. One of those is Bayern Munich who, according to Fabrizio Romano, plotted a last-ditch bid to sign the winger last month which Chelsea quickly rebuffed. ‘Before bringing in Bryan Zaragoza, Bayern, they asked about the possibility of signing Mykhaylo Mudryk from Chelsea,’ Romano said, speaking on his Here We Go Podcast.
