Wolfsburg set a Bundesliga record by scoring an own goal for a third consecutive game when Kilian Fischer diverted Luis Diaz's cut-back into his own net in the fifth minute. The visitors responded through Dzenan Pejcinovic's equaliser, but Bayern stormed back to take complete control. Olise curled home his first five minutes after half-time and added a second in the 76th minute. By then, a Moritz Jenz own goal and finishes from Raphael Guerreiro and Kane had already extended their commanding lead.
