The temple’s resident chef Terrance Liew said this was a yearly affair for them to make the dumplings for the festival. “Usually, every year we make about 2,000 dumplings to be sold at our temple during the festival period. Volunteer Lim Sut Kee, 73, said she never failed to turn up to wrap the dumplings each year. “I have been coming here to help wrap dumplings for over 15 years. Dumplings are the festive food to celebrate Duan Wu Jie, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
