Locals rescued Rafsan and admitted him to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex in critical conditionA baul singer was tortured brutally in Kashiani upazila of the district on Tuesday as he tried to protect schoolgirls from eve teasers 12 days earlier. Baul Singer Rafsan of Satashia village, recipient of a Channel I music award, stopped their eve teasing and saved the girls. On Tuesday afternoon, Salman and his cohorts beat up Salman as he was crossing the Dohisara intersection in Domrakandi village of the upazila, leaving him critically injured. Locals rescued Rafsan and admitted him to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex in critical condition. A case was filed with the Kashiani police station, accusing 12 people including Salman, said OC Md Azizur Rahman.
