Despite playing the night before against the Supercity Rangers, the Rams managed to eke out a victory over the Hawks in an extremely sloppy contest. Jeremy Kendle was again the star for the Rams, overcoming a slow start to come alive in the clutch. Given a chance to win the game for the Rams, Jones found room for an open three but was well off. The Rams are now 1-1 and host the Wellington Saints on Thursday, while the Hawks are 0-2 and host the Taranaki Mountain Airs next Sunday.
