(Photo from Nakhon 58 via JS100)Phatthalung: An Austrian base jumper was blown onto a sheer cliff face and left dangling from his snagged parachute in this southern province on Monday. Once airborne, winds blew him onto the cliff face, where his parachute snagged on a rock -- leaving him dangling about 175 metres above the ground. In the evening, rock climber Santhiti Rompothong managed to climb down the near-vertical cliff and free the jumper. It was reported that the Austrian had previously twice performed the jump from the Khao Ok Thalu mountaintop without incident.
