A senior bank official has died at a drug rehabilitation centre in Bogra, with his family alleging he was beaten to death. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at ‘Mayer Ashroy Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Centre’ in Sabgram of Sadar Upazila, according to Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mostafa Monjur. He said a staff member of the centre has been taken into police custody for questioning. He added that a staff member of the rehabilitation centre, identified only as Humayun, has been taken into custody for questioning. He had taken Shuvo to the hospital and was detained from there.
