The newly appointed administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Md Abdus Salam, on Wednesday outlined four priority programs to transform the capital into a modern, liveable and environment-friendly city in line with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s “Green City, Clean City” vision. He announced the priorities at a meeting with senior officials and the waste management department at Nagar Bhaban here. Abdus Salam said the city corporation is a service-oriented institution. Earlier, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain visited DSCC’s central mosquito control chemical warehouse at Dholaipar, accompanied by the administrator. The minister expressed satisfaction and directed officials to maintain the standards of mosquito control chemical manufacturing.
