New Delhi: For annual account closing of banks, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to keep all commercial banks closed in India today. Even as the offices of RBI are open today, you will not be able to make NEFT or RTGS transactions. India's currency and bond markets are also closed today for annual account closing of banks. Traditionally, all banking operations have been kept closed on this day for closing accounts of the last financial year. Customers were allowed to do all electronic transactions till the stipulated time on both the days.
