PETALING JAYA: The greater Bangsar area, possibly stretching from Bangsar Shopping Centre to MidValley, is currently experiencing a blackout. Many took to Twitter to voice their frustrations, coining the hashtag #BangsarBlackout to share their experiences. Senior client executive Jason Lioh tweeted: “Watching movie at @GSCinemas Mid Valley when #BangsarBlackout happened.”Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir was one of those affected by the blackout, which had lasted for over an hour at press time. “My house is dark, the whole street is dark,” said the social activist, who was at home in Bangsar when the power went out. Twitter user @jayzslam was grateful that she left her Bangsar workplace at 6.30pm: "Office colleagues are still in the dark and there are people stuck in the lift."
