Murad, who will serve as the interim chief minister of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) for the next three years, said the Bangsamoro people deserved nothing less than a government that would look after their welfare. Murad said the overwhelming majority of people who approved the Bangsamoro Organic Law have set “high expectations” for the transition authority. 11504 or the law creating the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has been recently ratified in a plebiscite. Murad also thanked President Duterte and other people who helped realize the creation of the new Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
