In February 11, President Duterte said that he is open to renaming Philippines to Maharlika as initially planned by the late President Ferdinand Marcos. During her visit to PLDT, Gray received a warm welcome from PLDT Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, officials and employees of the company. In 2017 when the Miss Universe pageant was held in the Philippines for the first time, PLDT HOME Fibr was at the forefront of the international event.
