Photo: BSSDHAKA, Mar 25, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh will begin their 2026 campaign as they face upper ranked Vietnam in the lone FIFA international friendly match scheduled to be held at H ng Day Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam tomorrow (Thursday). Bangladesh is going to play the friendly match against Vietnam as a part of preparation ahead of their final AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Singapore on March 31. Bangladesh will be boosted once in presence of Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury and Canada-based midfielder Shamit Shome ahead of their stern test against Vietnam and Singapore matches. Bangladesh captain Jamal Bhuyan said it would be a difficult match, but he thinks his side are improving and they have the ability to compete with Vietnam. Even though it's a friendly match, we'll aim for victory as it also affects our FIFA ranking."
