Photo: CollectedDHAKA, Mar 25, 2026 (BSS)- A passenger bus lost control and plunged into the Padma River while boarding a ferry at Daulatdia Ghat in Goalanda upazila of Rajbari today. According to the Fire Service, the Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Souhardya Paribahan from Rajbari sank about 30 feet deep into the river while attempting to board the ferry at Daulatdia Ghat. The accident occurred around 5:15 pm as the bus was getting onto the ferry. The Fire Service diving team has located the bus underwater. Efforts are underway to lift the bus with assistance from BIWTA’s rescue vessel “Hamza, said the Fire Service official.
