Health Minister Zahid Maleque disclosed the matter at a press conference in Dhaka on Saturday. Earlier on March 18, Bangladesh reported its first death of a 70-year-old man from the virus that has spread across the world. In the press conference, the minister said four new Covid-19 cases -- two men and two women -- have been confirmed in the country, taking the number of those infected to 24. The fast spreading coronavirus, declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), has claimed more than 11,000 lives and infected over 276,000 people across the globe, according to worldometer.
