The health authorities have confirmed 42 new cases of measles over the past 24 hours, while 947 people have been admitted to hospitals with symptoms. On Friday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said three patients with measles symptoms died during the period. Since Mar 15, 5,792 people exhibiting measles symptoms have sought hospital care nationwide. The DGHS said five previously reported deaths from confirmed measles cases were removed due to inaccurate district-level reporting. Additions: One confirmed measles death from Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital was added to the updated fatality list.
